On Thursday Defence Minister Guido
Crosetto will present a new package of military aid for Ukraine,
the ninth since the Russian invasion in 2022, to parliamentary
intelligence service oversight committee COPASIR, sources said
on Wednesday.
Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said at the
Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) in Berlin earlier this month
that Italy was preparing a new package of military aid for Kyiv
featuring the Samp-T air-defence system.
The French-Italian system can track dozens of ballistic missiles
and intercept many at the same time.
Italy and France gave one Samp-T to Ukraine last year as part of
efforts to help Kyiv defend itself.
