Rome is locked down for a formally
banned pro-Palestinian march Saturday with police controls at
major checkpoints in the Italian capital.
Among the measures are checks in railway stations and motorway
toll booths and a special security device with concentric
circles around the area of ;;Piazzale Ostiense.
In Turin, meanwhile the police headquarters on Saturday banned a
Pro-Pal demonstration on Monday 7 October, the anniversary of
the Hamas attacks on Israel, saying the date must be changed and
it must be a stationary demo and not a march.
