Premier Giorgia Meloni on Monday will
attend via video link a G7 summit summoned at 2 pm by Canadian
Premier Justin Trudeau, the rotating president.
The premier had initially told Trudeau that she could not take
part in the meeting because it coincided "with the breakfast
offered to Sheik Mohammed bin Zayed and with her subsequent
address at the Italian-Emirati Business Forum as part of the
State visit to Italy of the United Arab Emirates president".
Subsequently, the schedule was revised to allow the premier to
attend the G7 call, well-informed sources said.
