Changes to EU decision making to
speed up the process can no longer be postponed, President
Sergio Mattarella said Thursday.
"A reflection on the new international strategic context appears
essential, which will naturally require consequent
decision-making processes," he said receiving a delegation from
the Italian Air Force at the Quirinale.
"This applies to decisions in the context of the Atlantic
Alliance and to decisions in the European Union, which can no
longer be postponed.
"We look to the future with the awareness that military logic
will continue to be a fundamental pillar for national defense".
