Television remains Italy's most
widely used form of media, according to the 20th Censis Report
on Communication, which was presented in the Senate Library on
Friday.
The research institute said 94.1% of Italians watched television
in 2024, while Internet was used by 90.1%.
It said that 89.3% of people in Italy had a smartphone last
year.
The report said the proportion of people here who use social
media networks rose 3.3 percentage points to 85.3% in 2024.
It said 78.1% of 14-to-29-year-olds used Instagram, just ahead
of YouTube with 77.6%, while 64.2% used TikTok.
