The European Commission on Tuesday
gave the green light for Italian State aid aimed at producing a
total of 4,590 MW of new electrical energy capacity from
renewable sources.
The project will help reach the EU's strategic targets relating
to the European Green Deal, the EC said.
At the same time, it said, it will help end dependence on
Russian fossil fuels and accelerate the Green transition.
The measure, which will remain in force until December 31 2028,
will be funded by a levy on consumer power bills.
