UniCredit and Commerzbank both soared
on stock markets Thursday on expected talks between Italy's
second-bigggest lender and the German bank it is aiming to take
over.
Commerzbank flew up in Frankfurt with the update of the strategy
to 2027 and the first meeting Friday of CEO and CFO Bettina
Orlopp with UniCredit executives.
The German institution's shares rose 5.7% to EUR 16.1.
The group in Piazza Gae Aulenti also climbed 4.5% to EUR 40.
