ITA Airways on Friday posted
six-month EBITDA of 62 million euros, up 130% on the first half
of last year.
Chairman Antonio Turicchi said that passengers grew to 8.3
million (+26%).
The group closed the first six months with revenues at 1.4
billion (300 million more than the same period of 2023) and an
operating cash flow of 280 million and investments more than
doubled to 256 million (+130%).
Earnings reached almost 400 million (393 million), which "does
not include the benefits of the financing operation on the
aircraft, which brought 240 million dollars into the coffers,"
said CFO Claudio Faggiani, "thus bringing earnings close to 600
million at the end of August."
The EBIT is still in the red by 88 million.
General Manager Andrea Benassi added that Milan's Linate Airport
was still strategic for the former Alitalia and "we are
continuing to invest in it".
In the first six months of 2024, ITA Airways laid on 150 daily
flights from Linate and achieved revenues of 260 million (+20%)
with 3 million passengers.
