Italian industrial was down by 4.6%
in value terms and 3.6% in volume in August compared to the same
month in 2023, according to calendar-adjusted data released by
Istat on Thursday.
The national statistics agency said seasonally-adjusted
industrial turnover dropped by 0.1% in value and 0.7% in volume
compared to July 2024.
It added that the industrial turnover index was at its lowest
level since January 2022 in value terms, while in volumes terms
it was at the lowest level since January 2021.
