Public debt is a constraint that take
precedence over other EU rules, Economy Minister Giancarlo
Giorgetti said Monday.
"First of all, we must think about what to do with this debt
that we have to manage," Giorgetti said during a conference at
Rome's LUISS private university.
"This is the issue we must start from. It is an element that
represents a constraint that cannot be ignored.
"It is the main constraint and it comes even before the rules
defined at European level".
