An estimated 10 million Italians are
expected to travel over the November 1 All Saints' holiday
weekend, according to a survey published by hoteliers'
association Federalberghi on Wednesday.
About 8.9 million will remain in Italy, visiting art cities and
mountain resorts, among others, said the poll.
Just over one million of holidaymakers will chose a destination
abroad such as a foreign capital that can be easily reached by
plane, the survey observed.
The average length of trips will be of 3.3 days for a total of
19.8 million overnight bookings that will cost on average 462
euros per person, with revenues estimated to reach 4.6 billion
euros, Federalberghi said in the survey.
