A cooperation agreement to plan and
promote initiatives connected to the themes of Expo 2025 Osaka,
with the objective of fostering innovation, growth and the
internationalization of Italian companies has been signed by
different companies of the CDP Group, SACE and the Commissioner
General for Italy at Expo Osaka 2025 Mario Vattani.
The upcoming universal exposition is a key occasion to
connect creativity and industry, art and labour through the
illustration of the technological evolution of production
processes developed by the Italian industry connected to the CDP
Group.
In detail, State investment company Cassa Depositi e
Prestiti, CDP Venture Capital, subsidiary SIMEST, insurance
company SACE and the Commissioner General of Section for Expo
2025 Osaka intend to promote the participation of the Italian
entrepreneurial and industrial system in Expo 2025 Osaka, with a
particular focus on businesses already present or with a
strategic interest in the Asian-Pacific area.
At the same time, the agreement aims to identify projects,
companies and innovative practices considered as strategic in
the territory affected by the event and promote Italy's
participation in Expo 2025 Osaka at a national and international
level.
In particular, CDP, CDP Venture Capital, SACE and SIMEST will
cooperate to pursue the following objectives: promote financial
support tools aimed at strengthening economic partnerships and
enhancing commitment in the cooperation for development and
climate finance; favour opportunities for the growth of exports
and direct foreign investments between the Italian
entrepreneurial system and countries in the Asian Pacific area
through the platform of the CDP Group Business Matching;
implement activities of promotion of the Italian system of
innovation, involving companies, investors and startups to
create new opportunities of internationalization and attraction
of international investors; contribute to the promotion of
Italian enterprises in the art and business culture fields
within the Italian Pavilion at Expo Osaka, through the
exhibition of artwork, installations and stories recounted
through texts and multimedia initiatives.
Specifically, SACE will favour the concession of funding for
companies taking part in Expo 2025 Osaka, through the release of
SACE Guarantees warranted by the Italian State with a procedure
that is dedicated to them; access to insurance-financial
products including advances on loans deriving from contracts of
provision for the Pavilion and insurance coverage for the
transport, installation and process of securing materials and
productions.
The Commissioner General of Section for Expo 2025 Osaka will
offer CDP, CDP Venture Capital, SACE and SIMEST full support for
the development of activities provided for by the protocol,
giving maximum visibility to the events and initiatives
promoted.

physical platform, an exhibition space: it is also the centre of
a network of partnerships that support companies, startups,
institutions and territories of Italy in their process of
internationalization. Our objective is to update Italy's image
in the world, presenting ourselves at a global appointment
supported by a solid system of institutional and industrial
collaborations that strengthens our credibility, helping our
enterprises enter Asia and favouring investment opportunities".
