Italy on Monday bade farewell to
Roberto Cavalli, the influential Florentine fashion designer who
died Friday night aged 83.
Dubbed "the king of free-and-easy and sexy wear", Cavalli had
become a father for the sixth time a year ago.
His funeral took place in Florence's Basilica di San Miniato al
Monte, where his coffin was greeted by a long round of applause
by fashion world figures like Toni Scervino, Leonardo Ferragamo
and Sandro Fratini and showbiz stars including Carlo Conti,
Leonardo Pieraccioni, Afef Jnifen, and Paolo Ruffini.
