Italy's hospitality sector rose 7% on
the pre-COVID period to 92 billion euros in food consumed
outside the home in 2023, sector group FIPE said Thursday.
The number of payrolled workers rose 6.4% on 2022 to 1.4
million, FIPE said.
The sector's added value was up 3.9% to over 54 billion euro at
current prices, it said.
"The deep hole generated by the pandemic emergency is
definitively behind us," said FIPE President Lino Enrico
Stoppani.
