Airport operator Aeroporti di Roma
(AdR) on Tuesday launched a new online shopping service for
passengers at Rome's Fiumicino airport.
'Shop&Fly' allows travellers to book in advance over 9,000 duty
free products on the AdR website and collect and pay for them
directly at the airport on arrival.
Passengers using the new online service are also entitled to a
10% discount.
"We are constantly striving to fully meet our customers' needs,"
said AdR Chief Commercial Officer Marilena Blasi.
"To achieve this goal, we consider it essential to ensure a
smooth and seamless digital experience, especially during the
pre-flight phase, when passengers interact with services such as
shopping and dining," she added.
Earlier this month Fiumicino was nominated the best European hub
for the quality of services offered to passengers by ACI World
for the seventh consecutive year.
