Pollica in Campania is Italy's most
beautiful beach resort as ranked in the Five Sails standings
issued by Legambiente and the Italian Touring Club Friday.
Second place goes to Nardò in Puglia, third to Baunei in eastern
Sardinia, fourth to Domus De Maria in southern Sardinia and
fifth to Castiglione della Pescaia in southern Tuscany.
As for lake resorts, Molveno near Trento is top and Appiano
sulla Strada del Vino near Bolzano second, both in the Trentino
Alto Adige (South Tyrol) region.
Third is Massa Marittima near Grosseto in southern Tuscany.
In all, some 33 comuni around Italy got the Five Sails award.
