Several members of the Italian community in Mexico will once again attend the traditional Mass in commemoration of their deceased compatriots, scheduled for 4 November at the Italian Cemetery in the country's capital, located in the Civil Pantheon of Dolores.
Coordinated by the Italian Assistance Association (AIA), the liturgy will be celebrated at 10am by Father Arturo Andrei. The head of the Consular Chancellery of the Italian Embassy in Mexico, Andrea Lay, and the president of the Aia, Marco Cannizzo, will be present.
The Italian Cemetery has been one of the most important sites in the history of immigration to Aztec lands since June 1898 and, over the decades, has been adorned with monuments and buildings of great artistic value.
