Jannik Sinner on Friday beat the
Japanese Taro Daniel in the second round of the Shanghai Masters
1000 tournament, with a score of 6-1, 6-4 and went into the
third round, where he will meet the Argentine Tomas Martin
Etcheverry.
The world number one, who faces a possible two-year doping ban,
has just lost the China Open to world number three Carlos
Alcaraz of Spain.
Sinner said Friday he is going through a tough time but is
confident the Court of Arbitration for Sport will reject an
appeal on his alleged steroid use from the World Anti-Doping
Agency.
