Ferrari's Carlos Sainz was emotional after winning the Mexican Grand Prix on Sunday, saying he was satisfied to have secured "a final victory" with the Italian glamour team before leaving to make way for Lewis Hamilton next season.
"I'd wanted one last victory before leaving Ferrari for a long time, achieving it in front of this crowd was fantastic," said the Spanish driver after the fourth Grand Prix win of his career and his second of the season after his triumph in Australia.
"But, if another opportunity arises I will try again".
It was Ferrari's second consecutive victory after Sainz's teammate Charles Leclerc, who came third on Sunday, won the previous race in the United States.
With four races to go, Ferrari are second in the constructors' standings with 537 points, 29 behind leaders McLaren.
