Pope Francis told his weekly general
audience in St Peter's Square Wednesday that we live in a world
of war and we must pray for peace.
"Let us pray for peace, we need peace, the world is at war,"
said the Argentine pontiff.
"Let us not forget the tormented Ukraine that is suffering so
much.
"Let us not forget Palestine, Israel, that this war will stop.
"Let us not forget Myanmar and let us not forget so many
countries at war".
Speaking at the end of the general audience, Francis urged
people to "pray for peace in this time of world war".
