Italian publisher
Mondadori said Wednesday that Pope Francis's autobiography
'Spera' (Hope) will come out in the world's major languages in
over 80 countries in January 2025 for the Catholic Church's
Jubilee.
It is set to be the first ever autobiography written by a
pontiff.
Mondadori, which is managing the book's international rights,
made the announcement at the Frankfurt Book Fair, at which Italy
is this year's guest of honour.
It said the book, written with Italian author Carlo Musso, was
composed over the last six years.
It said the pope had intended for the book to only be published
after his death but the arrival of next year's Jubilee of Hope
and the demands of the present day convinced him to have it
released.
