Pope Francis said hospitality and
care must be offered to abuse victims in a message sent Tuesday
to participants of the plenary assembly of the Pontifical
Commission for the Protection of Minors, which runs until
Friday.
The pontiff's message urged to offer "victims and survivors
hospitality and treatment for the soul's wounds in the style of
the good samaritan".
Francis also called on participants to "listen with the ear of
the heart" so every victim can find "depths of mercy from which
they can be reborn".
"May the Holy Spirit, teacher of live memory, preserve us from
the temptation of setting aside pain rather than curing it",
stated the Pontiff.
