US President Joe Biden praised Prime
Minister Giorgia Meloni for Italy's continued support for
Ukraine, with Italy "continuing to defend Kyiv from Russia's
brutal war of aggression", the White House said after the
bilateral meeting between the Prime Minister and the US leader
on the sidelines of the G7.
The two leaders, it added, hailed the G7 leaders' unanimous
commitment to provide $50 billion in further financial support
to Ukraine using profits from Russia's frozen assets.
