A suspected computer snooping gang
allegedly led by former top police officer Carmine Gallo and
Milan Fair Foundation President Enrico Pazzali that got
confidential information mostly on business, as well as
political and showbusiness figures is believed to have made a
total of over 3.1 million euros in "illicit profits", according
to the Milanese anti-mafia investigative directorate DDA.
In particular, the Equalize company involved in stealing
confidential data from police data bases, earned an estimated
2.3 million, said the DDA prosecutor leading the probe,
Francesco De Tommasi.
The group revolved around the company Equalize of Pazzali,
president of Fondazione Fiera Milano, who is under
investigation, one of two alleged ringleaders in the
organisation along with ex supercop Gallo, who has been placed
