The consumer price index for the
whole nation (NIC), without tobacco, in October was stable on a
monthly basis and increased by 0.9% on an annual basis, from
0.7% the previous month, according to preliminary estimates
published by ISTAT on Thursday.
The national statistics bureau also said that so-called
'shopping trolley' prices increased in October.
Prices of food, household and personal care items accelerated on
a tendential basis from +1.0% to +2.2% as well as those of
products with high purchase frequency from +0.5% to +1.0%, the
national statistics agency said.
