The consumer price index for the
whole nation (NIC), without tobacco, in September decreased by
0.2% on an monthly basis and increased by 0.7% on an annual
basis, from +1.1% the previous month, according to preliminary
estimates released by ISTAT on Monday.
During the month of September, "prices for food, home and
personal care returned to accelerate on a tendential basis (from
+0.6% to +1.1%), while the growth rate on an annual basis for
products purchased frequently decreased (from +1.1% to +0.6%),
according to estimates released by the national statistics
bureau.
