Italian growth dropped to 0.6% in the
second quarter of the year from 0.9% in preliminary estimates
issued last month, Istat said Friday.
The stats agency said that in the second quarter of 2024, the
GDP adjusted for calendar effects and seasonally adjusted
increased by 0.2% compared to the previous quarter and by 0.6%
compared to the second quarter of 2023.
The data released at the beginning of September had instead
indicated a quarterly growth of 0.2% and a year-on-year growth
of 0.9%.
The revision reflects the new annual estimates foreseen by the
general revision of the national accounts of last September 23.
The growth acquired in 2024 remains at 0.6%.
