A minority in Europe "is killing us
with green cars", Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi told an economic
forum in Milan Saturday.
Regarding the energy transition and in particular the
regulations for internal combustion engines, "if we focus on the
automotive sector, which is important, it also makes us angry",
because the issue "is silly and ridiculous", said the energy
giant's CEO.
"I don't want to be anti-European, but stupidity also kills and
is killing us because we have to suffer it on the basis of
ridiculous ideologies that are dictated to us by a minority of
Europe, not a majority, and we have to continue to digest them
and bow our heads, dying slowly", Descalzi added at the economy
day taking place in Milan.
