The first exit poll results released
right after voting stations closed in Liguria's regional
election on Monday suggested that centre-right candidate Marco
Bucci is on course to win between 47-51% of the vote, ahead of
centre-left candidate Andrea Orlando with 45.5-49.5% of the
vote.
The first exit poll was released by Opinion Italia for State
broadcaster RAI.
According to preliminary data provided by the interior ministry
through the Eligendo website, turnout at 15:00 Monday was
46.06%, down from the 53.50% during Liguria's previous election
in 2020.
Figures from nearly 50% of stations - 748 out of 1,785 - were
for the moment available.
