A meeting with Italy's trade unions
on the 2025 budget in Giorgia Meloni's office at Palazzo Chigi
in Rome has been postponed from Monday, November 4 to Tuesday,
November 5 at 16:45, based on a change in the government's
agenda, union sources said Tuesday.
Unions CGIL, CISL and UIL are expected to answer the call.
The leader of CGIL, Italy's biggest and most leftwing union
federation, Maurizio Landini, has threatened a general strike
over the government's budget moves.
Also attending the meeting will be the rightwing union UGL, as
well as other smaller unions.
