A dossier and illegal wiretaps
against Tokyo 2020 Olympic 100m sprint champ Marcell Jacobs and
his staff have also emerged in the investigation by the Milan
DDA anti-mafia directorate into an alleged group of cyber-spies
who allegedly stole information from national strategic
databases, judicial sources said Tuesday.
The dossier against the double Olympic gold medallist , his
manager and his coach, was allegedly commissioned by Carmine
Gallo, the former super policeman under house arrest, from two
of the hackers with whom he collaborated "and in turn requested
by a lawyer from Padua currently being identified".
The proposal made to the hacking pair was to insert a 'trojan
horse' into the phones of Jacobs and staff, the sources said.
El Paso-born Jacobs, 30, won the individual 100 metres in Tokyo
in 9.80 secs, the first Italian to win the 100m, along with the
4x100 relay.
He came fifth in the Paris Olympics, in 9.85, a season's best.
Gallo is one of the two alleged ringleaders of the snooping ring
along with Milan Fair Foundation President Enrico Pazzali, who
owns the investigative company, Eqalise, that Gallo runs.
