The 'Villaggio Italy' will be
different in each of the eight ports around the world to which
the Amerigo Vespucci will sail during is World Tour,
corresponding to eight different realities, with different norms
and legislations.
This was the subject of a talk with ANSA by Luca Andreoli, the
managing director of Difesa Servizi, the defence ministry's
in-house company that produces and supports all the phases of
the initiative.
He stressed the importance of "a boundless story of
Italian-ness" to the benefit of the countries hosting the
project.
"In Tokyo, for well-known reasons, we are in a country that
lives with a constant threat of atmospheric events, as we know
earthquakes are the order of the day here, and so there is an
iron-clad legislation.
"We had to build the village in this extraordinary location that
is the Cruise Terminal, and we did so while Italianising it".
