The project 'Our School: Inclusive, Equitable and Quality for All', financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and implemented by Save the Children in coordination with the Ministry of Education of El Salvador, ended with a ceremony in San Salvador.
The three-year project, we read in a note, counted with €2.5 million in funding and contributed to consolidating an educational inclusion strategy in El Salvador with a territorial approach through a participatory process that guaranteed the principles of inclusion, equity and educational quality.
"The work we do is in line with the 'Crecer Juntos' law for the integral protection of children and adolescents, and creates a framework that will serve to guide generations of educators by making the project sustainable over time," said Rocío Rodríguez, Director of Save the Children El Salvador.
"The Italian Cooperation has always been a point of reference for the adoption of guidelines for inclusion. With this project we strengthen our commitment to guarantee access to educational services also to people with disabilities," commented Paolo Gallizioli, Director of the AICS office in San Salvador.
