The Italian Foreign Ministry's special envoy for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Davide La Cecilia, participated today in Vilnius in the conference 'Building Resilience though International Partnerships', organised by the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.
During the conference, La Cecilia presented Italian plans for the organisation of the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine scheduled to take place in Rome on 10 and 11 July 2025.
The envoy also participated, in the presence of the Lithuanian Foreign Minister, Gabrielius Landsbergis, and the Italian Ambassador to Vilnius, Emanuele de Maigret, in the signing ceremony of the agreement between the Lithuanian Development Agency CPVA and the Italian architectural firm Scandurra, winner of the tender for the design of a school within the framework of the 'Future School for Ukraine' programme, co-financed by Lithuania and the European Union.
During the day, La Cecilia also met with the Lithuanian Minister of Culture, Simonas Kairys, and the Deputy Foreign Minister, Simonas Satunas, with whom he discussed possible cooperation for the protection of Ukraine's cultural heritage.
