The Global Space Technology Convention & Exhibition (Gstce), one of the leading aerospace industry events in Asia, kicked off today in Singapore, organised by Singapore Space & Technology Ltd. This year's edition welcomes over a thousand delegates, representing institutions, companies and organisations from all over the world.
Italy will have a large participation, thanks to the National Pavilion curated by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, hosting Leonardo, Elt Group and MetaSensing, and the presence of the Italian Space Agency (Asi), Avio and D-Orbit: a testimony of our country's commitment to the development and promotion of the space sector at an international level.
Singapore aims to play an increasingly important role in the development of Earth observation satellites, maritime traffic monitoring, environmental disaster prevention, and advanced satellite communications, also through strategic collaborations with international partners.
"The Italian presence at the Gstce confirms the desire to intensify cooperation with Singapore in the space sector, strengthened by the dialogue between the Italian Space Agency and the Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn). Thanks to the support of the Embassy and Italian institutions, we are convinced that this synergy will offer new opportunities for innovation and development to the benefit of both countries," said the Italian Ambassador to Singapore, Dante Brandi.
