The most dangerous anti-Semitism is
from the Left, Trieste Chief Rabbi Alexander Meloni said on
Holocaust Remembrance Day on the sidelines of a ceremony at the
Risiera di San Sabba former Nazi concentration camp on the
northeastern Italian city.
"When we talk about Nazi-fascism we always think of right-wing
parties, in reality they are National Socialisms," said Meloni.
"We must remember this.
"Today it is not entirely by chance that anti-Semitism returns
to the Left.
There is a specific anti-Semitism of the Right, which must not
be denied and which must be fought, but today the most dangerous
and most active anti-Semitism comes from the Left and this
worries me".
